 Come to the Castillo de San Marcos, (the fort in downtown St. Augustine) and experience a little piece of history as the cannons are fired every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the year at 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm. Call (904) 829-6506 for more information.

   Farmer’s Market, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.   
 Stop by the St. Augustine Amphitheatre every Saturday morning between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. for the Old City Farmers' Market. Browse through the a wide variety of vendors to find fresh vegetables, baked goods, fresh fish, homemade crafts and more. Every market also features live entertainment. Admission is free. 
   Every Wednesday   
   Wednesday Market at the St. Johns County Pier, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.   
 Visit the St. Johns County Pier every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to shop for fresh produce, baked goods, jewelry, and other quality hand-made gift and home decorating products. The St. Johns County Pier is located on A1A Beach Blvd. in St. Augustine Beach, just south of State Road 312. The market takes place every Wednesday, rain or shine.  
 
February Events
   Friday, February 3    
   First Friday Art Walk   
 Starting at 5:00 p.m. on the first Friday of every month, enjoy the latest art exhibits, music, entertainment and refreshments at over 20 participating galleries. The walk begins at the Rembrandtz Gallery at 131 King St. and continues on King St., Aviles St., St. George St. and to galleries in the downtown area. St. Augustine Sightseeing Trains and Old Town Trolleys offer a complimentary shuttle service to most of the galleries. Call (904) 829-0065 for more information. 
   Saturday, February 4    
   Changing of the Guard, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.   
 The St. Augustine Garrison will renew its Changing of the Guard/Guardia de la Noche ceremonies on Saturday evenings: Dec. 17th, Jan.14th and Feb. 4th. A garrison detachment, which represents protection of the governor's house in colonial times, will proceed from the Taberna on St. George Street at 5:30 p.m. to station itself at the Government House on the Plaza de la Constitución, then a second unit will arrive at 6 p.m. to relieve the guard. There will be a clearing of the muskets in a volley salute, and the public can ask questions and take pictures.    EMMA Concert Series: Stradivari Quartet, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

   Discover First America – St. Augustine Tapestry, 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.   
 This special program features the colonial cultural traditions that made early St. Augustine unique. Menorcan, Greek, and African are some of the many cultural threads that weave the multicultural tapestry of the St. Augustine community. The evening brings to life the lifeways, foods, song and dance of many cultural groups. Secret colonial recipes for rum and Menorcan clam chowder are revealed and tastings are offered. Program is hosted by the Casa Monica Hotel.

   Limelight Theatre’s 20th Annual Celebration: 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.   
 Join us at the Flagler College Auditorium for Limelight Theatre's 20th Anniversary Celebration and enjoy twenty songs from twenty seasons celebrating 20 years of great theatrical performances at the theatre. This performance features cast members and musicians form previous Limelight productions and guest artist appearances form First Coast Opera, St. Augustine Community Chorus and the St. Johns County Center for the Arts.    Fort Mose State Park – Flight to Freedom, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.   
 Come and be a part of a unique living history event where re-enactors will be on route to Fort Mose in "Spanish St. Augustine," the first legally sanctioned free black settlement in the United States. There will be guided tours, food, drumming and music, authentic historic re-enactors, colonial weapons demonstrations and more. Today is the annual Flight to Freedom heritage event, which retells the saga of travelers fleeing to freedom in Spanish Florida on America's first "Underground Railroad."    Discover First America: To Arms! Four and a Half Centuries of Military History in  St. Augustine: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.   
 Join us in the Flagler College Auditorium and learn about centuries of military presence in St. Augustine as 450 years of military history will be covered in 100 minutes through soldier re-enactors and vignettes. This event is sponsored by the St. Augustine 450th Military Commemoration Committee of the St. Johns County Veterans' Council.    Faver-Dykes State Park – A Day in Old Florida, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.   
 Come to Faver-Dykes State Park for a day filled with living history including pine needle basketry, a 1700s Trapper Trader Camp, blacksmithing, a Timucua Native American display, and a demonstration of the art of mullet net knitting. Also there will be a nature’s painting wall exhibit where children can paint a natural habitat along with an activity center for arts &amp; crafts. We'll feature many interpretive programs and a birding walk, live entertainment and wagon tours of the park. Refreshments will be for sale. Admission is $5 per vehicle.  On the last Saturday of the month, enjoy living history demonstrations at Fort Mose as volunteers in period dress offer you a fascinating glimpse into the past. This program is weather permitting.    Menendez Birthday Grand Procession, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.   
 Come to today's special parade, a 16th century exhibition. Be part of this colorful and lively procession of authentic 16th Century re-enactors, musicians and entertainers as they stroll along Saint George Street to Lightner Museum for the opening of the Noche de Gala.    Discover First America: St. Augustine Tapestry: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

During the day a 17 century-style military encampment will be open to the public at the Fountain of Youth Park from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with drills, demonstrations and a living history interpretation. There is free admission to the encampment. The re-enactment of the sacking and burning of the town will begin this evening at 5:00 PM in the old city, beginning at the Plaza and ending at the Old City Gate.    20th Annual Lighthouse Festival &amp; 5K Run/Walk &amp; Fun Run, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.   
 You and your family are invited to the 20th Annual Lighthouse Festival today when admission to the tower, grounds, and museum is free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be local musicians and entertainers throughout the day, special games and crafts for children, food, living history portrayals, pony rides, terrestrial and maritime archaeology activities, contests and more. This year’s featured attraction is the ship building and interpretive programs about the area’s Spanish maritime cultural heritage. Call (904) 829-0745 for more information.    Spanish Bicentennial Celebration – All Day   
  Join us for the dedication of the plaque donated by Spain-Florida Foundation to the City of St. Augustine during simultaneous ceremonies of Spanish Constitution Monument obelisk replicas at Cadiz and Aviles, Spain and the City of St. Augustine, Florida. St. Augustine has the only known remaining Spanish Constitucion Monument in the world. There will be a fun-filled day of festivities and celebration will take place in the Plaza de La Constitucion.   Today there will be various presentations of Colonial life on a rotating schedule, such as cooking, spices and food preservation, the blunderbuss, a soldier's equipment, Fort Mose (our nation's first Free Black Settlement), celestial navigation, Indian scouts (Yemassee) among others. Tonight at 7:00 p.m. there will be the torchlight parade through our city streets followed by a jollification at the Spanish Bakery.    St. Augustine Garrison Spanish Colonial Grand Muster, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.   
  Tonight is the Grand Muster parade, a St. Augustine tradition that commemorates the events leading up to the 1740 invasion of Spanish Florida by the British colonies to the north. This re-enactment will begin at the City Gate on the north end of St. George Street with the changing of the guard, a musket volley, and new sentries posted. You may then join the Grand Muster Parade and follow the Spanish governor, his soldiers, and townsfolk in the Grand Muster celebration. They will march down St. George Street to the Plaza de la Constitution for the Blessing of the Flag at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine.
